The Phoenixborn are humans who were given power by the Phoenix to protect humanity from the Chimera. Many of their magics were previously not thought possible, and it is through theirthis magicpower that they are able to create creatures of their own design, called conjurations.

They consider themselves "Children of the Phoenix," and refer to each other as siblings. Despite this, their age varies greatly, from the youngest being born a few years after the Great Cleansing to the oldest being around 600 years old and still alive.
