Creatures of Argaia

This list contains names of creatures of Argaia. Those details were read or heard throughout articles and interviews.

Chimera

• Monsters fighting Phoenixborn during the Great Cleansing. They were created by the Red Rains and are of various sizes, even as big as cities.
• Some say the chimera were a curse upon humanity for their crimes against the children of dragons, but whatever the reason for their birth, the chimera visited destruction upon the world, and civilization shuddered. These monstrous foes slaughtered armies, devoured townships, and despoiled the ground and seas. Humans withdrew to the largest of cities, and these they fortified against the horrors of the world outside. For hundred and hundred of years, the chimera roam the world, keeping humans confined to the fortified cities.
• Even though the Phoenixborn have eradicated the chimera menace, it is rumored that there might still have some lurking in dark places in the world.
• Chimera can do things beyond magic.
• They are not friendly creatures, even to each other. They are all for themselves, all for power. By consuming each other, they gain more power and all their prey’s specifications. This means they are always changing and evolving, making this one of the biggest reasons they were able to continue for so long and thrive in that chaos.
• The Chimera are back following a successful reigniting of the Red Rains by Rowan Umberend.
• The first sighting is in the rubble of the town of Viros: a dragonic creature that is revealing to the world the state of Viros.
• A second one has been seen in the frigid wastelands beyond Frostdale, taking the form of an armed giant.
• Vicious plants grew rampant as the third one took root in Neverset.
• The red rains infected the dead and animals with insatiable violence and turned them into mindless monsters, attacking Lordswall.
• Another sighting was a spider-like monster in Shadowreck.
• Moon Cove suffered disastrous flooding during the onslaught of another Chimera.
• The final Chimera took the form of both the Phoenix and Jericho.

Colossus

• Conjuration controlled by Felix Galeforce.

Conjurations

• These magic-based creatures are not indigenous to the world of Argaia but willed into existence, born from the different Phoenixborns' minds. They are representations of what they have experienced or seen in their life, and recreated and manipulated in their own way to be utilized as units.

Dragonborn

• Similar to Phoenixborn, these people are granted power by the sealed Nine Dragons.
• They seek to destroy the ones who slew the children of dragons: the Phoenixborn.

Godslayers

• Also known as Godhunters. (No details available beside those names).

King Strawbaby

• Straw doll, King of the Bloodwoods Clan.

Maggada

• Chimera-like spider with three human faces, Queen of the Bloodwoods Clan, until they were burned to death by Jessa Na Ni.

Phoenix

• The mysterious source which those wizard-warriors called Phoenixborn drew their powers upon. Powers that were but a fraction of the true power that blessed them, and that power now desired unification. It cannot bear the strain of its fractured soul.
• “You cannot kill the Phoenix. Not unless you can kill Time itself.” (Unattributed quote)
• Its heart was tore asunder by a Jericho, filled with guilt after the War of Ashes. Time has been broken and reset.

Rainwalkers

• People and animals that have been corrupted by the Red Rains. They often resemble corpses (and some are), and have red crystals protruding from various parts of their bodies.
• A horde of them laid siege to Lordswall.

Royals

• Creatures that are the focus of older religions.
